The Yellow Brick Road led Sue Thurman to AZ, where Starshine, a comedic childlike intergalactic traveler was born on a local radio show. Starshine is from the planet Etheria, home to the largest library in the universe, known to many travelers as the place where . . . once upon a time begins.
Starshine met thousands of incredible children and their families before she transformed into Safari Sue to entertain millions more at the Phoenix Zoo. This was accomplished with help from some amazing animal friends. Her audience soon realized Safari spoke not only fluent child, but also animal dialects. They were amazed how animals magically responded, especially when they were serenaded with a song. An opportunity to produce a television show for CBS, Arizona Entertainment Weekly, followed.
Today Sue is busy developing television pilots, writing novels, and the Safari Series of children’s books inspired by her experiences. As a creative writer, thinker, and visionary, Sue has published a variety of materials. She is a vocalist and loves singing and doing voice-overs. Currently she’s energized about producing a television pilot for children to ignite their imaginations through the magic of reading. The program will showcase excellent children’s books with help from some interesting, colorful animal friends.
